Add the Bol.com connector to Claude

The same URL works in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code. Connect your Bol shop in Marktspan first and turn MCP on under Settings → MCP.

• Claude.ai and Desktop: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → name it Marktspan → paste https://marktspan.com/api/mcp → Connect, then sign in with Marktspan.
• Team and Enterprise: an owner adds the connector once under organization settings; each member signs in with their own Marktspan account and role.
• Claude Code: run `claude mcp add --transport http marktspan https://marktspan.com/api/mcp`, then `/mcp` to authenticate.
• Start a new chat and ask “Which Bol shops can you see?” to confirm the connection.

What Claude does well with Bol data

Claude is strong at long, multi-step analysis. Give it a question and it chains the tools: list the shops, pull contribution, drill into EANs, check ads, then write the summary.

• Explain a contribution drop on Bol NL: which EANs, which cost line, and whether stock or ads changed.
• Write a weekly Bol report for the team from live numbers instead of a pasted export.
• Compare Bol NL and BE side by side without mixing their data.
• Reconcile Bol invoice charges per order and EAN (finance role).

Hosted connector vs. a local Bol MCP server

Community Bol MCP servers run on your machine with your Retailer API client ID and secret and return raw API responses. Marktspan's connector is hosted, signs in with OAuth, keeps Bol credentials in your workspace, and answers from cleaned EUR data that already joins orders, fees, ads, and invoices.

Read-only by default

Claude can read and analyze, not change your Bol listings, prices, or bids. Bid changes go through Ad Pilot approval or governed write tools on eligible plans, always with a dry run first.
