Connect marketplaces and your first sync
Last updated
Connecting a marketplace is the gateway to everything else in Marktspan. You authorize API credentials per retailer account—Bol, Kaufland, or Pigu for live operations today. Mirakl connection is available for teams preparing Mirakl-based channels, but treat Mirakl as connect-and-wait until your account team confirms ingest coverage for your specific operator setup. Allegro and Amazon may appear on marketing pages as coming soon; they are not part of live ops in the product yet.
After authorization, the first sync imports historical orders, offers, advertising where applicable, invoices, and supporting catalog data. Initial imports can take hours depending on catalog size and marketplace rate limits. Empty or partial first syncs are usually credential, permission, or timing issues—not a sign the product lacks data. After you sign in, the operator handbook covers sync stages and health indicators under Get Help → Documentation.
Bol connections unlock the broadest module set, including Ad Pilot for Sponsored Products. Kaufland brings vouchers, repricing, and accounting-oriented views alongside core catalog and orders. Pigu connects seller operations only; Martailer advertising is not integrated, so do not expect Pigu ads inside Ad Pilot or P&L. Keep credentials scoped to the seller account you intend to manage—workspace admins can connect multiple accounts, but each connection should map to one commercial entity on the marketplace side.
Once sync completes, sanity-check three places before you trust dashboards: order counts versus the marketplace seller portal for a recent week, top SKUs appearing in catalog search, and ad spend visible for Bol if you run SP. Then move to Costs and trustworthy margin so P&L is not lying by omission. Per-marketplace credential steps are in the operator handbook after sign-in—this guide stays at the outcomes level.
Honest expectation setting saves rollout drama. Marktspan reads marketplace truth; it does not invent COGS or fix listing quality by itself. The first week is connect, verify, fill critical cost gaps, and pick one recurring review ritual—many teams start with Run a weekly marketplace review.
Where to go next in the docs
Stay on this public guide for outcomes and rollout planning. For click-by-click operator procedures, sign in and open Get Help → Documentation. Evaluation teams should skim the FAQ, then Plans, billing, and getting help or Pricing before you commit production credentials.
Honest marketplace scope
Live seller operations emphasize Bol.com, Kaufland, and Pigu (PHH Group) today. Mirakl remains connect-first until your rollout confirms ingest for your operator. Ad Pilot applies to Bol Sponsored Products only; Pigu advertising uses Martailer separately from Ad Pilot. Retailers shown as coming soon on marketing surfaces are not described here as shipped product.
