Ad Pilot
Last updated
Ad Pilot is Marktspan's controlled automation layer for Bol Sponsored Products. It is not a generic ads tool for every European marketplace. Kaufland and Pigu campaigns—including Pigu Martailer—live outside Ad Pilot; manage them via their native tooling and the relevant Marktspan analytics modules without expecting bid agents to cross channels.
The product philosophy is reviewable automation. Agents observe performance, propose bid or budget adjustments within guardrails you set, and leave an audit trail suitable for a finance or brand lead who does not live in the ads console daily. Sensitive writes go through approvals where configured, so "autopilot" never means unbounded spend. Configure campaigns, products, keywords, dayparting, and kill switches in Ad Pilot after you sign in; the public use case Launch controlled ad automation describes the rollout pattern.
Before you enroll SKUs, stabilize margin inputs. Ad Pilot can optimize toward efficiency targets, but missing COGS makes efficiency meaningless. Align with finance on minimum contribution floors and which hero SKUs may trade margin for rank during launches. Weekly, compare ad-attributed movement in Sales Pulse with contribution in P&L visibility.
Honest scope notes: Bol API limits, enrollment rules, and retailer policy changes can pause automations. When ads stall, verify sync and campaign health in-app before assuming strategy failed. AI credits may apply to agent proposals—see Pricing and in-app billing for entitlements.
If you only sell on Kaufland or Pigu today, Ad Pilot is not your near-term module; focus on Insights to act on and One place to manage all until Bol SP is live for your brand. Mixed Bol+Pigu teams should budget separate ad operating rhythms and never blend Martailer spend into Ad Pilot reporting.
Where to go next in the docs
Stay on this public guide for outcomes and rollout planning. For click-by-click operator procedures, sign in and open Get Help → Documentation. Evaluation teams should skim the FAQ, then Plans, billing, and getting help or Pricing before you commit production credentials.
How this maps to the product
Guide module chapters follow the six homepage capabilities, not every sidebar label. Specialized tools such as vouchers, invoicing, or ranking appear after sign-in in the operator handbook and roll up here by outcome so public docs stay readable.
Honest marketplace scope
Live seller operations emphasize Bol.com, Kaufland, and Pigu (PHH Group) today. Mirakl remains connect-first until your rollout confirms ingest for your operator. Ad Pilot applies to Bol Sponsored Products only; Pigu advertising uses Martailer separately from Ad Pilot. Retailers shown as coming soon on marketing surfaces are not described here as shipped product.
