Marketplace connections

Last updated

Marketplace connections are how Marktspan becomes your system of record for channel operations. Each connection represents one seller account on a retailer platform. Live operational depth today is strongest on Bol.com, Kaufland, and Pigu (PHH Group). Those three support the core loop: catalog and orders, stock signals, pricing tools where the marketplace allows API control, finance-oriented fee views, and analytics modules like P&L and Sales Pulse.

Mirakl is different: you can connect Mirakl credentials to prepare for operator workflows, but Mirakl should be treated as connect-only until your rollout plan explicitly includes ingest and module coverage for your Mirakl-powered storefront. Do not assume Mirakl behaves like Bol in Manage modules—verify with your account contact before training the whole team on Mirakl screens.

Bol unlocks the widest feature set, including Ad Pilot for Bol Sponsored Products (SP). Kaufland adds Central European marketplace patterns—vouchers, repricing, and accounting views alongside standard catalog operations. Pigu covers Baltic seller operations; Pigu advertising (Martailer) is not integrated. Martailer is Pigu's ad stack; it is not Ad Pilot. Teams running both Bol SP and Pigu campaigns should budget separate workflows and reporting, not one blended "ads module."

Connection health is continuous, not a one-time green check. Tokens expire, API permissions change, and marketplaces throttle heavy backfills. Name a credential owner in your internal runbook and watch connection health in-app after you sign in. When a connection fails, downstream modules show stale or empty states—fix auth first, then rerun or wait for scheduled sync rather than assuming analytics broke.

For portfolio habits when you run more than one live connection, see Coordinate multi-marketplace operations. New to Marktspan? Start at Connect marketplaces and your first sync. Marketplace-specific credential screens and sync stages live in the operator handbook after sign-in (Get Help → Documentation).

Stay on this public guide for outcomes and rollout planning. For click-by-click operator procedures, sign in and open Get Help → Documentation. Evaluation teams should skim the FAQ, then Plans, billing, and getting help or Pricing before you commit production credentials.

Honest marketplace scope

Live seller operations emphasize Bol.com, Kaufland, and Pigu (PHH Group) today. Mirakl remains connect-first until your rollout confirms ingest for your operator. Ad Pilot applies to Bol Sponsored Products only; Pigu advertising uses Martailer separately from Ad Pilot. Retailers shown as coming soon on marketing surfaces are not described here as shipped product.
